Upcoming Boxes

So for upcoming boxes I have ordered (&each have already confirmed they've shipped) are

1) BoxyCharm
2) Sooni Pouch
3) NoMakeNoLife
4) Tonic Studios Card Kit #25

I also have an order coming in from Tarte!!

Tonic Studios Card kit #24!

I absolutely love these monthly card kits!! They come with everything you need to make beautiful cards each month!! While sadly I don't have any pictures of this particular kit, I have kit #25 on the way and I promise to have pictures available for that review!!
This card kit comes with cardstock in beautiful colors/designs (metallic, mirror, glitter, normal etc) it also has beautiful stamps in the kit, aswell as a multitude of dies to help you add beautiful accents on any cards you make, this card kit had a die set that helped you make a beautiful lantern, and it had shaker card elements, like sequins and little glitter hearts! It also had little windows that you fill with the sequins/hearts etc and put into the sides of the lantern to give it that shaker element! (I'll make 1 and add a couple photos over the next couple days!)
These kits ship out of the US for residents of the US, & for all international orders, those are done from their UK site. If you have any interest in paper crafts/card making at all, I HIGHLY recommend these monthly card kits!!
Cost is £39.99
(*I'm so sorry this particular review does not do this kit any justice at all! I promise when I receive the next card kit in the next week or so, I'll do a much much better review with pictures!!*)

August 2019 Boxycharm

So this was the first time I had got a BoxyCharm box, and I was absolutely floored by the amazing FULL SIZED products I received!!

I'll start with the Tarte Big Ego Mascara! Now, I'm not normally one that will reach for a mascara when doing makeup...that is, until I got this Mascara!! It...is...amazing!!
It retails on the Tarte website for $30 (cad) and it's worth every single penny!!

This mascara doesn't make your lashes flake and doesn't make them clump together, it makes your lashes look so full and long and bold! It's long lasting and from what I have experienced waterproof!
Next is the Becca hydr-mis set & refresh powder. This stuff feels almost wet when you put it on at first, but it's a powder, and it's not wet, but it's such a refreshing, cool and light feel on your face. I find it sets my makeup great! More so on my forehead & cheeks than undereye, but everyone is different so can't have everything lol. What I don't like about this product, is every time I open it, if I don't take my time and open it slow and careful, it has a cloud of powder that comes out. And the fall out from it is fairly big. BUT I can live with it lol

 MSRP- $39 (cad)

Next is the Wander Glow Ahead Illuminating oil. I fell in love with this stuff instantly!! It has a spill proof tip so if you set it down without the lid it's not going to go all over the place, it's super hydrating and leaves your skin feeling and looking amazing!

A little goes a long way with this oil!! It helps to hydrate and restore the skins moisture while giving you a beautiful glow!!
MSRP- $42(cad)

Ace Beaute Glimmer Shadow Duo,
MSRP-$25/pair (cad)
these are supposed to be creamy, but I don't find mine overly creamy, but they're not like a powder either. These are a high pigment shadows, with little to no fallout, they also won't crease or fade either!

Hollywood N Vine Velvety Touch Smooth Khol Eyeliner is up next. When I say this liner is so easy and smooth to apply, girl ya best believe! This liner goes on so smooth, it's so bold and makes lining your eyes so easy!!
MSRP- $7(cad)
It's a nice long liner that will definitely last a while! It's also waterproof!

Butter London Natural Goddess Eyeshadow Palette
MSRP:$32
This palette has 6 highly pigmented, gorgeous, long lasting shades! They are stunning! And you can create SO many incredible looks with these 6 shades!! They have little fallout and are so easy to apply, there's no messing around with these shades!! No need to keep going back into the pan for more color at all with this Palette!!

And last but certainly not least,
The Luxie gaea 3 piece Brush Set
MRSP-$30
This eco-friendly brush trio is fantastic!! The bristles are so soft and feel so amazing on the skin, they make applying shadow/foundation a breeze!! There's the Luxie 510-foundation brush, the Luxie 250-large eye blending brush and the Luxie 246-precision crease brush, & I'm in love!! These are the first brushes I've tried from Luxie and I am definitely wanting more!!

At the time I'm writing this review, BoxyCharm boxes are $21/month (USD) for the base box, but as of November 2019 they will go up to $25/month (USD) you receive 4-5 full sized items and the value of the box is over $150 & you can customize 1 product each month
$35/month for BoxyCharm Premium (Starting in Nov 2019) and has a value of $175+ and you get 6-7 full sized items, free US shipping ($3 internationally) and you get to customize 1 product!
And Boxyluxe is an additional $28.99 (USD) on top of the base box Cost, it only comes out once every 3 months and their is a wait list! They have a value of over $275 inside!!
In order to get the Boxyluxe you have to be an active subscriber of their monthly base box, and get your name on that wait list!!

I'm waiting patiently for my October BoxyCharm box to come!! Any day now hopefully!

So it's been a while...but!!

Hey! So I know it's been a while since I posted, BUT!! I got 3 sub boxes to review and have more on the way!! The 3 I have already received are BoxyCharm August 2019 box, Tonic Studios September card kit #24, and 3 meals from GoodFood! ANF boy oh boy am I ever IMPRESSED!! So I'll start with the GoodFood box first!
I found a huge box on my front step, and it was packed so awesome! There was 2 really big ice packs in it to keep everything nice and cold/fresh!

In the box as I said was 2 big ice packs, and SO much fresh food I almost couldn't believe it!!
The box came with every last little thing you could possibly need, from the meat and veggies, to the spices and sauce!!

It had 3 pages that had complete directions on how to prepare and cook each meal in the box, and holy, WOW!! They were all meals I never in a million years would have known how to make first off, and meals I wouldn't even think to make on any given night! So this box definitely brings new and delicious meals/recipes to your kitchen and provides everything you need to make it except the pots pans and oven!!
I HIGHLY recommend this box!! They not only offer a supper menus, but they also have a breakfast/smoothie menus too!!
I did not purchase these 3 meals, I received them free after signing up for a free trial! The website seems to offer really amazing deals fairly often, and special prices for first time subscribers!

*I will do sepetate pages for each sub box*

While we wait..

Hello,

So, I figured while I wait for the first sub boxes to arrive, why not write about some of the things I got today while back to school shopping with one of my kids.
I'll start with the highlighters. And boy are they bright!! They are Color Story Dewy Glow, Liquid highlighters. They look insane! I searched them on the back of my hand a little over 2.5 hours ago now, & they still have not rubbed off or smudged! The shine is intense, so if you want a nice bright liquid highlighter, these are definitely for you! It comes with 4 colors, the darkest color being a reddish pink tint, and the other 3 are fairly light, 1 is like a blush pink (sheer) 1 is like a taupe/gold sheer tint and the last is a very light (I mean barely there) pink tint and is also sheer.
Price-$18.99 @ Ardene

The next items are both an Eau Dr Partum. The first is Still Heart, (an impression of Rihanna's Rogue Love, By Rihanna) and holy only does it ever smell amazing!! It's not a floral or citrus type scent, it's honestly difficult to explain, it's just something you really need to smell for yourself! I sprayed some on a few hours ago now, & it's still going strong and smelling fantabulous! ;)
The second is called Heavenly Babe, an impression of Abercrombie and Fitch8 and it really is heavenly!! Again, it's not floral or citrus-y...and like the other, the scent was sprayed a few hours ago and is still smelling amazing!!
Both bottles are priced at $7.99, (but as of this post, Aug 31/2019, they are on sale at Bluenotes 2/$12!!)

And last, but certainly not least, is the Subtle C Rosehip & Lavener facial mist. This spray calms and soothes your skin. & boy does it ever! Nothing is better than a beautiful hydrating mist for your face and neck to help you relax after a long stressful day at work or school...or shopping (cuz let's face it, shopping is about as stressful as anything!! Nobody likes going into crowded places to spend their hard earned money am I right!!) So when you get home, and take off your make-up, spray this amazing mist on your face and neck, & your skin will thank you!!
Price-$8.99 @ Ardene

So that's it for now, I'll try to put up some more posts/reviews over the next days/weeks while waiting for sub boxes to arrive. If you have any suggestions for things to review, or if there's anything in particular you are interested in but aren't quite sure about that you would like reviewed before you go out and buy it, please feel free to let me know :)
Thanks!
Till the next time 🦄

Hello, nice to meet you! I'm....

Hello All,

This is my first post on this blog, & I wanted to have the first post with info about myself, and about what type of things you'll eventually find here :) So, here we go!

First, I'll start off by telling you about myself. I'm a 36 year old single mother of 3 daughter's (18, 15 & 11 <as of the date this post is made) I was in a very long term relationship, 13 years, and Nov 30/2016 he was tragically killed in a car accident. Since then, there has been too many more deaths of people I love and that are close to me. Late last year, my best friend of a number of years, Rob, was in a motorcycle accident and spent 8 days in a coma, and 40+ days in hospital recovering. Shortly before he was released from the hospital we started dating. It's been a long road for him, but his recovery has been nothing short of amazing! Then earlier this year, tragedy struck again, my mum became very sick and was taken into the hospital. Where myself, Rob, and my sister Julie spent 9 days in the hospital by her side, until she ultimately passed away.
A month or so later, my youngest daughter was pushed at school on the ice, & fell & broke her collar bone. She healed incredibly fast, but while getting xrays to make sure her shoulder was healing properly, the doctor noticed something worrying in her upper back and ordered more xrays. She had more xrays and was diagnosed with idiopathic s oliosis. She has a double curve in her spine. 32° & 36°, & with that we were referred to a specialist at another hospital in a different province, & started the journey towards her getting a back brace. And while my youngest was going through that, my middle daughter was having issues with her jaw. It was found she has issues with her TMJ, a muscle in her jaw which causes her mouth to lock in a shut position. She has issues opening her mouth to do everyday things like eat, brush her teeth etc so she has had to make lots of trips to the dentist to figure out how we can fix it. We have since ordered a mouth guard for her, and we're hoping it will help realign her jaw while she sleeps over time and will help relieve the pain it causes her.

Now on to what this blog is actually going to be about! 😉I have a weak spot for subscription boxes...of all types! Make-up, card/craft kits, clothing &accessories, fitness etc etc. Now I know this isn't anything that hasn't been done before, but I can honestly say I personally haven't seen a blogger that does all different types of sub boxes, most tend to stick to certain types, like craft/card kits, or make-up/clothing/accessories etc. I'm not by any means saying it hasn't or isn't being done, I just personally haven't seen it :) and Thus you have, Receive Try Review! :)
If you have made it to this point, I want to thankyou so much for reading, & I hope you check back for my first actual review, the August 2019 BoxyCharm:)
